I made my nephew 2 bags for his wheel chair. In an idle conversation on FB he found out that I quilted & the first thing he said was "Oh you can make a bag for my wheelchair" He raises & breeds birds so I picked out this fabric to make his bags out of. Each bag has 6 pockets & then the inside to put articles in. One has velcro so the straps are adjustable & the other I left plain so it can be tied to the back of the wheelchair to hold sodas or whatever they have to carry. I hope they work.....

How cute. My mother is 90-years-young and is in an assisted living facility. Mom uses a walker, so I'm in the process of making a walker bag for her. As a matter of fact, I went to Jo-Ann Fabric today and looked at patterns for both walkers and wheel chairs...they have them all.

Hugs,

Jenny:)

Does the handles need to be a certain length? That's my only concern but I am sure he can fix these to any length he needs.

My dad has a power chair and I have been trying to figure out how to make him a carrier for it I can not go on the back as he can not reach it if on the side it makes the chair to wide for the house. I guess I am giving up on that idea. Cute bags though!

the one on the back is for who ever is pushing him or with him at the time top free up their hands. Would the bag fit inside the chair in your case? Where it still wraps around the handles but is on the inside where he can get to it?

Guess I will have to check it out again next time he is in his chair.
