Remember when Postal Packin Mama posted this quilt earlier this summer? Well, I was so inspired that I just had to make one of my own. I never dreamed that it would use up so many scraps, but my scrap drawers are now empty and I am one happy camper! It's big 120" by 120" and heavy, which will be wonderful come winter time. It's pieced with a QAYG method. Thanks Postal Packin Mama for your inspiration and your words of wisdom as I worked on my own! |
Fantastic job on the lovely quilt

Your quilt is BEAUTIFUL! If I send you all my scraps will you make one for me, then my scrap pile will be gone too ... lol
Scrap quilts are my favorites to make, but I am not sure I would ever tackle one like yours - I am intimidated by its beauty! |

Holy Moly! Both sides are terrific!

A beauty indeed.....Thanks so much for sharing it with us....very impressive. Now you've inspired me to get off this computer and get on with the scrappy strippy I am making for my future DIL....I am a bit ashamed mine's not going to be a double sided stunner and I am taking forever over it (I mean really what can't I get about randomly sewing strips onto foundations!!).
The reversible scrappy is fantastic. I wish I had so few scraps.

Spectacular, Fabulous, Stunning as a newbie quilter it is sometimes humbling to see such wonderful creativeness and talent on this board. But it also gives me something to aspire to, thank you for posting.

Thanks for sharing your beautiful work. I read all the posts and I don't think anyone asked you how long it took you to make it. Inquiring minds want to know, LOL. You had a lot of beautiful, coordinating scraps and then were able to piece and QAYG. You're amazing.
Your quilt is gorgeous! I need to use up some of my scraps. They just keep growing. lol Seeing your beautiful quilt inspires me to try one. Thanks for sharing.
i love it,and i love the colors
Really nice! I am about to start a lap quilt that I want to be reversible. Yours is an inspiration.
What a great quilt, I like the scrappy carpenter's wheel. I like the contrast in the string side too.
Wow! I know how much effort you put in this. I just finished a top, baby size, with the star pattern. It equals about one of your blocks. It took me a few days. Of course I was working with gingham which is always a treat. NOT! Great job
Very pretty! Great job !!
