I even make quilting patterns when playing Farmville on Facebook... lol
How sick am I?

That's cute! What is Farmville?

NorBanaquilts 09-25-2009 02:14 AM

Farmville is a game you can play on facebook. Quite addicting, just like quilting

A lot of my fb friends play farmville but this is definitely the best farm I've seen!

Kara 09-25-2009 03:34 AM

hee hee... I'll make a mental not to stay away from that game :)
I have a hard enough time steering myself away from my design software... the possibilities are endless, really... certainly don't need another addiction right now

But, it is a GREAT farm!!!

I love it!!:)And, I bet those cows will grow up so much fluffier!!:)

NorBanaquilts 09-25-2009 05:32 AM

mamabird-I should have added that farmbook spills over too, I actually did an excel spreadsheet to see which crops get the most $ and XP, accounting work at it's finest

diogirl 09-25-2009 05:35 AM

That looks good. My farm is nowhere near as nice.

I recognized Farmville from my granddaughter playing it. It could be made into a really neat quilt.

I figured that. Not being a Facebook type, I'm wondering how a Facebook game works. Do you play it with your Facebook friends or alone or with anyone else who's playing (like a MMORPG)? And is it like a Sims game or what?

NorBanaquilts 09-29-2009 03:41 PM

You play farmville on your own, but you can help your friends/neighbors and you can send gifts back and forth to help each other out. You could play without friends at all if you didn't want to do all of that.

My husband and I were playing a board game the other evening, and the board has a hexagon pattern on it to show you where your pieces are allowed to stand, and I kept seeing Grandmother's Flower Garden quilts in the game board. I was actually starting to think about doing a landscape quilt in hexes because of this board game!

I used to do quilt layouts when I was playing Farmtown on FB.
I stopped playing - it was sucking up too much time. I'm much more productive now!
Speaking of which... I really need to get off the computer and get busy!
