I've been paper-piecing a few of my Farmer's Wife Sampler Quilt blocks on my old Singer hand crank machine made in 1925. I found it amusing that old-time technology works just as well with new-time techniques!

What a cool little machine!!!
Would that be considered an oxymoron?

Cool machine. Paper piecing not so new--there are the gazette quilts. Women did blocks using the local newspaper so that when they combined their group project all the blocks would be the same size. And of course there is English paper piecing. But paper piecing has come a long way in it's complexity

What a cool comparison!! Your machine is gorgeous! I don't know how hand cranks work. Do you guide with your left hand???

Beautiful machine, do you really crank it for it to sew?? that may sound stupid, but I was just wondering??? LOL
