such a sew and sew 07-01-2012 07:33 PM

I don't have a pattern. What I did is chose four different neutral background colors and cut them in 8 1/2 blocks. Then I used fat quarters of different colors and cut each one into 3 different size circles. On each neutral block I put a large circle and sewed 1/4 inch from raw edge. Now a different medium size circle and sew , and a small circle and sew. Then I cut each block into fourths. Aranged them on my design wall, starting with a mixed circle. Hope this makes sense.

I have never seen one like that. It is so unusual. Beautiful colors too. Love it.

But you cut THREE different size circles and LAYERED them sewing each one 1/4 of an inch from the edge. It really is beautiful! Did you use flannel or cotton? I didn't think cotton would rag up like that. Should each circle be 1/2 inch smaller than the next or 1inch?
