Wow! Kudoes on a beautiful whole cloth. I'd be so nervous. How did you overcome anxiety for your first one?

That is beautiful! Your quilting is amazing. I don't know much about whole cloth quilting. Is it plain cotton fabric and did you draw the design/feathers on before quilting. Is the grey flower just filled with grey stitching??? What you did is incredible.

A wholecloth quilt is one piece of fabric and then you sew the design.

I used a stencil, and rulers to do my design.

It's cream cotton fabric with a darker cream thread. The stitching in the middle of the flower and the borders is a micro stipple stitch on my machine. Much more mind numbing than doing the cross hatch!

Very pretty. Is it for yourself or a gift?

It will be mine for about a year and then I'll donate it! I donate all my quilts at some point!

Thanks, I practiced with smaller ones (started with 20x20, then up to 40x40)

I also did lots of practice with FMQ.

Thanks everyone for the kind words ... I did a Ton of practicing my FMQ on smaller wholecloth quilts before I even thought of doing this! It's been on my bucket list for ages, and now I can finally cross it off!

I am however, going to do others, just need to get the pattern in my head and then onto fabric!
