I finally finished the binding and gave ds his quilt. he was so happy! He's actually cleaning his room so I can put it on his bed.

k3n 03-12-2010 10:33 AM

Oh so cute! What a little munchkin! But how long will the room stay tidy? You may have to make him another quilt next week! LOL

QuiltingGrannie 03-12-2010 10:36 AM

So precious!

beachlady 03-12-2010 10:36 AM

Gee, my son is 37 - think it will work for him? He lives by himself and his sister cleans for him!!! She says he is bad!! When he was a teen I thoroughly cleaned his room 2 x a year - scrubbed everything. That was one room in the house that the door was often shut!

Adorable quilt and almost missed his cute little head peeking out - he is adorable too.

Justquilting 03-12-2010 10:55 AM

He's too cute snuggled up in his beautiful quilt!.
Bet you it's never makes it to the bed

Very cute and boy is too !!!

ginnie6 03-12-2010 12:54 PM

thanks ya'll! He was so anxious for me to finish that quilt! He picked the pattern and the fabric (with some help). So it really is "his" quilt. Oh and he did plenty of inspecting to make sure it was going together right and wouldn't be "bumpy".....lol.

redquilter 03-12-2010 02:26 PM

What a cute little boy - he looks sooooo happy. The quilt is really nice.

Fiber Artist 03-12-2010 02:55 PM

littlehud 03-12-2010 03:12 PM

He is just a doll. Love your quilt too. I can see by his face how much he loves it. You're right, that makes all the work worth while.

Oklahoma Suzie 03-19-2010 05:00 PM

so cute

quilting4five 03-19-2010 07:17 PM

Gosh golly, he looks cozy! I can't wait until I finish my first quilt (the top is done but I'm nervous about adding the backing, the batting, and stitching in the ditch!!) and can have the kids do a major monkey snuggle (I told my kids that my very first quilt would be for everyone...I can only hope it turns out half as nice as yours!)

:quilting4five (a new newbie! lol)

sewnsewer2 03-19-2010 07:36 PM

Ditter43 03-19-2010 07:44 PM

This is the first bed quilt I've done by myself. My 10yo dd and I made her one though so I did most of it. I just started last year. You can do it! Quilting is taking over any spare time I have lol.

mamatobugboo 03-20-2010 05:12 AM

That is priceless! My kids love their quilts too, and have actually started asking for new ones. I've thougth about doing a "hope chest" for both of them (9 year old girl and 7 year old boy)to take with them when they graduate college adn actually live on their own.

They love to point their quilts out to friends adn say that their mom made them!

Congrats, and your son is so cute!

n2scraplvr 03-20-2010 07:37 AM

Ginnie, I'm so happy for you that you're loving quilting and using every spare minute! haha. The rewards are obvious...it shows up on your son! He's a handsome young man who just loves his quilt!! Great job!! :D :D ;-)

Kara 06-11-2010 11:53 AM

So cute! The quilt is great. Masculine, not too "little boy-like" and he'll be able to use it for a long time to come.

Yes, but I keep hearing from our youngest, "Is my quilt done yet?" "When is my quilt going to be finished?" "Are you done yet?" And it started before I had the first block pieced!

I'm hearing that from youngest ds! He's 5! His quilt in all fairness is cut in blocks and in a box to be put together as soon as I'm done with three I'm working on now. I never understood before how anyone could work on more than one project at a time.........and yet here I am doing it.

annieshane 06-11-2010 03:45 PM

the picture shows such a twinkle in his eyes. You can tell he loves it. Couldn't you just pinch those precious little cheeks!
