Nothing ugly about the fabric you used. Sorry, but you will never win in an ugly fabric contest, because your fabric is too pretty :)

Sorry, your "ugly" just doesn't cut it. I have one almost like it only paler and it is a prized piece which I have only used a bit of in my "It's Good to be Square" quilt.

I think you should make a lot more of the blocks for you would have an awesome quilt. Ive seen some ugly quilt blocks here but this is not one of them.

However, if you don't like the fabric, you can say it's ugly.I doubt the quilt police will be there. You know you will like something that someone puts in as ugly...Right?? |

I love the block- it reminds me of opening a really exciting letter (see how the white looks like envelopes?)
And I also love the combination of the batik and the crisp white. I would not be betting on you winning that competition. |
LOL I have that fabric - I'm making a "purple quilt" for a friend and am using it as a couple borders in it. :D

Difficult to see how anyone could lose because everything looks good with white if there is even distribution of the white.
