That is really cool. It is a 3/4 size clone that has a hybrid Singer/clone style upper tension and no feed dog drop. It has been well taken care of and lightly used from what I can tell. She's a keeper!:thumbup:

Thanks. I just had to go dig that one out for photos. Neither my mom or I have seen another like it. My great aunt was married but they had no children. She was not too into cooking, sewing, or homemaking, lol. I don't find it too surprising that the machine was very rarely used.

Just read through this thread. There are a lot of interesting machines in here. :-) I never paid much attention to the clones before. I will now.

I have only seen one 3/4 clone - I still have it. It is a very nice little machine. I thought I posted it.

This is a clone 15 reproduction made in in Asia for Singer in the early '70s, per the author of the video. I remember seeing reproduction Memphis (sphinx) decal 15 treadle and handcrank sold in the late 1990s and early 2000s, but this machine has the RAF decals.

Looks a lot like a Singer 15 clone, and if possible I'll use the crank for my new (!) VS2.

For anyone interested, the crank doesn't fit the older machine :-(

Save the HC for another machine or use it on the one it's on.
The HCs only fit machines with a motor 'boss' that lines up. I tried to fit one yesterday - it was a no go. I hate to scrap out that machine - the motor mounts odd - wiring is shot plus what ever wires are missing plug into the box the machine sits in. I can't remember the name of my machine. It looks sort of like a clone but it is not really a clone. The motor is mounted on the back of the machine. It won't treadle - the base is in the way.

Hello all! I bought my first clone in the late 80s and have picked up a number of them over the years. Love love love them for the wonderful stitch they produce and simplicity when it comes to maintenance. I'll try to get pictures up soon! In the meantime, here's a manual for the Deluxe Precision that I found online. I like pdf files so using openoffice, it's easy to copy and paste all the jpgs and then export to a pdf file. This manual has a PARTS LIST. Woohoo!

Here's mine, apparently. It's my first old-one, and I hadn't even heard the term 'clone 15' until today. Thanks to some friendly helpers, now I know what it is! Need to do some more research.
