You are very welcome. The actual braided strip is 10 3/4" (the width of the center diamond across point to point with the separating strips all equaling 3" wide. You will need to calculate the width of your window plus one extra strip because when hanging the vertical pull makes the width shrink just a little. Of course it would depend on how you plan to hang it. Mine has buckram across the top with matching loops that continue from the separating strips to go around the rod. I hope this is clearer than mud. Good luck. and.....no the book doesn't tell you how wide all the designs are, it only gives dimenisons of the various quilts that are in the book.

Thank you. What makes it look like stained glass is the 1/4" seam allowances that can be seen through the daylight.

Absolutely beautiful. I need new drapes, hmmm . . . .

Did you actually quilt this .... does it have a batting? I think there are a lot of us that LOVE this idea.

Your information is extremely helpful! I have already picked out
Christmas fabrics to practice with. They will be made into a lap quilt for my niece's wedding. I'll see how difficult this is before I buy my window fabric. I've started calculating the amount I need. You have me so excited to start! Your quilt is the most beautiful window treatment I have ever seen. It must feel like you are in a castle or cathedral every day.
