Beautiful, very colorful and I think it has just the right masculine flair. Sounds like your son found the perfect friend to help, maybe he'll find the world isn't really as bad as he thought. (One of my sons went through that, although he was well past 22 before he smartened up!)

The fabrics you chose are perfect. The blocks look as if they are lit from behind. What a lucky roommate. My college roommate and I are still friends after 41 years. I have previously made her a lap quilt and my husband just finished a walnut quilt rack for her. We will present it to her when we visit later this month.
