I made this oooh about a month or so ago, but between Spring break, Spring cleaning and purging for the GS next month I didn't have time to do it.
I decided last night to just finish up the silly thing. I made it with a Jelly and a layer cake. The binding I'm making with the charm pack. The line is Moda Candy Kisses Oooh and yes, the border is a little bit wavy cause of those jellies.. no matter how hard I tired to not stretch, it stretched   Back of French Braid done with Layer Cake French Braid done with Jelly Roll |
Very pretty spring quilt, fresh and sparkling looking! I love working with Jelly Rolls! They are fun.

Such Pretty Fabric, love the French Braids!!!!! Don't worry about the borders, quilt them into submission :D :D  :D :D

Love the braid, the backing and your fabric. It is a great quilt.

tuesy, your quilts are wonderful. aren't french braids fun??? i'm sure you can tame those wavey edges. when i started making french braids i realized that every single outer edge is on the bias. talk about stretchy. i have found that if i stay stitch the outer edges very carefully it helps to keep the stretching down.
both quilts are great. |
Yes, every outer edge is on the bias, hadn't thought about that but if you have measured from side to side IN THE MIDDLE OF THE QUILT, then top to bottom IN THE MIDDLE OF THE QUILT, and you cut the borders to those sizes then there is no reason why the borders will be like that... have a go... it is worth it in the long run. Post the picture again when you have done that... would love to see it.
