I started this in our quilting class in, I think, 2003. When out beloved teacher died suddenly, I just put this project away. Yesterday, I found it when I was looking for something else, and decided it was time to finish it. I expect to add the other 3 (mitered) borders tomorrow. DH asked me not to show the full border width as that would also show our junky TV cabinet. I am not sure about the final border. I may make it narrower. Right now, it is 2.5". It looks blue, but is actually a blue-purple. The binding I plan will be the same color as the dragons' background.
The quilt is called know it all because the designer said that if you can do it correctly, you know all you need to know about straight seam piecing. The 9 patches are 3" square. The 2nd and third borders are 1/8" wide. The purpose of the project was to help us learn to be more precise. It did work. WIP Know it All. |

I have no idea what I will do with it after our quilt show in August, but I am enjoying it so far.

A beautiful UFO, love the dragons! Enjoy finishing it, I get alot of joy from finishing set aside projects.

I really like the colors and the intricate looking blocks. You have done a nice job and would love to see it with completed borders. Thank you for sharing.

Thank you for your kind comments.
No, it's not a mini, although the pattern elements are relatively small. The body of the quilt is 24" I, also am fond of the dragons. I originally intended to use a pansy print, and set it aside for this purpose, but the dragons seemed so much better for the job. |
Pretty colors! And I'm a fan of the dragons, too. Good luck with it.
