OKLAHOMA PEACH 02-15-2011 07:47 AM

Beautiful. I got a wood quilting frame in a garage sale probably 20 years ago from a little old lady, its been in the well worn box, in the corner of my bedroom since, put it together once to see it. Will finally be using it in a couple of months when I get ready to hand quilt my one and only hand pieced quilt. Thought I should aleast make one. I also have several quilt tops made my GreatAunts and GreatGrandMother.

I just remembered. I kept 2 kits that she had, the fabric's already cut in them. A Lone Star quilkt and a Trip around the World quilt. I don't know if I'll ever even open them, sewing all those pieces together . I'm glad we now have the rotary cutters and ways to sew things toehter and then cutting them apart

I would frame the paper and display it close to the quilt.

Outstanding and what a wonderful story to go with it. She would have been happy to see it finished. Thanks for sharing.

I love stories with happy endings. I'm sure your husband's grandmother would be so pleased with your finishing work!
