Back in December, I made a quilt top for my mom out of these diamond shapes that grandma cut out, but grandma died before ever completing the quilt..

This week, I officially completed half of the quilt - It is twin size and i'm hand-quilting it. I will be giving it to her in June and if the yard doesn't distract me too much - i'll be finished in time!

Oh that is so pretty. Your Mom will be so tickled. I know what you mean about the yard....mine is calling loudly to me this time of year. Play in the dirt, play with fabric very hard decision every morning!

It's turning out beautiful. I give so much credit to hand quilters-I just don't have the patience. I would like to try it on a small project someday.

I played in the dirt last weekend and it was so much fun - still so much to do!! Too cold for the next week or so, so no hard decisions to make!! :)
