I am making a civil war quilt and have just begun. I am making a queen size so I have to make two of each block and then a 25th one for the middle. Each blocks with be sashed and with corner stones as well.
The photos do not reveal the beautiful colors as they are, but you can get an idea. All the colors are muted. We are making this in our quilting group, Creative Quilters. Each quilter is making the blocks with her own choice of fabrics and we have everything from civil war replica fabrics to pastels and jewel tones. I will post a photos of all the quilts when they are done April.
