I promised myself to send baby quilts to the NICU where our little GS was born and finally living up to the promise. These panels were given to me by a friend and I added lots of black and red. And a close up of the quilting on Tweety. I used some heart fabric in the borders and decided to try quilting hearts as well. Next one is still a flimsy--but have the backing and batting waiting to be sandwiched.
This one's also heading to the NICU--blocks made up of scraps. A fun one to make, but took more time! |
What lovely quilts. Great job. What a wonderful way to give back.

Oh OK they are just way too darlin'! They will be loved for sure!

Adorable. I think the nurses will fight over them! :) actually--how does that work? Does the hospital keep them or give them away?

Great work!!!

They are beautiful. I have made quilts for NICU . One nurse said they wanted quilting closer together because of the puffing when washed. Could I ask how close you did your quilting? I try to do about 1 inch.
