Wish Upon a Star

I saw this pattern on the internet awhile back and it just called to me. It was done in 30's fabric and very sweet. I decided to do it with more modern fabrics. This quilt required me to make and use templates and set-in seams. This was fairly new to me, but I have been trying to challenge myself to explore new techniques this year. It is called Wish Upon a Star.

How very pretty! I have seen this pattern in the reproduction fabrics many times. It is refreshing to see it updated. I started out using templets to make quilts, for back then, that is what you did. I am so appreciative of the smart women that figured out the methods of today. This one was a true labor of love and it shows in your lovely work. There are some quilts that just stand the test of time.
ps.) There is no place on earth like the blue ridge mountains. They almost seem magical. |
Great job on your fabric choice....
