I wanted to share my lastest baby quilt. I am a hand quilter, but not a very good one, and would love suggestions on how to quilt this. |
If it was me, I'd tie this one ... or do some stitching in the ditch on the center piece of each block, again on one of the rectangles and, lastly, in the ditch between blocks. I love the bright colors and activity of this quilt. It's beautiful!!!! perfect for a baby and small child.

That's so doggone CUTE!!!!

Good....I think you are great that is beautiful

Very cute!! You did a good job. I'm sure it will speak to you about how it should be quilted.
|
Very Nice!
|
Adorably cute!

Adorable top! I would hand quilt around the animal in the center block. I would then quilt a line down the center of the wonky strip in a straight spiral moving outward. If you go down the middle on the strips, you will avoind most of the seams that are difficult to hand quilt through.

I love the wonky. The colors are so bright and happy. I'm not a hand quilter so I am no help. But I sure enjoyed seeing it.

I love the scrappy, wonky look of this quilt. Your fabric choices make it a bright, cheerful, fun quilt. Thanks for sharing.
|
I love the quilt and the pattern you made. great job.
|
Agree with Tartan's suggestion for the quilting.
What a FUN quilt! When making baby quilts, I like to build teaching elements into it. Your quilt is perfect for teaching animal names, colors, pattern names such as polka dots, stripes, etc. Wonderful! |
Darling. Ditto to what everyone has said. You are very talented to do this. I have a hard enough time sewing on the machine, can't image what it would take for me to do this by hand. I know whatever you do it will be super. Please show us when you finish this fun quilt. BrendaK

Very cute!

Cute quilt, what if you echo quilt around the animals and SID around the blocks. I love the bright colors for baby quilts.
|
Stop that, you did a fantastic job!
|
I love your quilt! I like the fact each of the center squares are the same blue color that ties it all together for a coordinated look even though wonky. Great choice of fabs for this too! I HQ all my laps and minis and something simple would be a horizontal wave (slight one) through each row and then a vertical slight wave down the other 3 rows and that would keep any batting from shifting and would be close enough for this size quilt.

that is are great baby quilt and you did a superb job on it also.
|
Love wonky and the colors
|
What a fun, happy wonky quilt! Any baby would love it! :)
