Thank you, everyone! Yes, in between the colored mosiac tiles, I used black fabric. I also used the same black fabric for sashing. I saw a tutorial on this, and she made one with white instead of the black. I thought the black was more visually effective. It did take a whole lot of time to assemble, but I found it very satisfying. Just don't want to make one of those too often, ha ha!

I've made borders around several blocks in large quilts this way. I put a base line under my pyramid border like that. Looks great. Your quilt is fantastic. This type of quilt has been on my bucket list for a few years. Need to reduce that trash/stash pile of little pieces. |
