I'm trying to use my scraps up in the process. I might have made a small dent putting these dresdin plates together. Seems like a lot of us are doing dresdin's lately, but they are really pretty. The other ones I've made lately have the pointed pieces so I wanted to do the curved ones this time. I used old dryer sheets for the lining to make the ends turn under.

" I used old dryer sheets for the lining to make the ends turn under"

I'm interested in this technique..... I've often wondered how to make the rounded ends of the dresdens smoothly....

Can anyone explain how to use the dryer sheet to do the ends of the dresden plate
.

I used them like a lining. I cut them in half lengthwise, sewed them to the front of the fans, then turned the lining to the back and ironed them. Now I don't have to worry about the edges fraying when I attache the plate to a square.
