This is my latest attempt. I did it last week and I am trying to get it on my table to be quilted. I am doing it for my son's 12th birthday and his room is decorated in military style and needed a camouflage quilt to go with it.

I had no idea that camouflage could look so great! Wonderful quilt. You just know it's going to be loved for a long, long time!

With four grandsons I know one of these quilts is bound to be in my future quilt making adventures. :D

I used two different squares that seemed to compliment each other. Railroad crossing and underground railroad. They are pretty much the same block only one is a 4 patch and the other a 9 patch. They merged together better than I thaught that they would.

thank you for all your replies. I had fun doing it. I got the fabric mostly from Wal-Mart. There is a duck print there that someone gave me a scrap of. It all worked well together.

Wow, that is awesome! :) He's never going to leave home if you keep making him quilts like that. :D

that would be a nightmare if he stayed forever. I will have to make him a going away quilt when it is time. One he only gets if he moves out.

Hope that works better for you than my sister, she made her son a afghan told him when he marries he gets it, he's 36 and the afghan is still at her house along with him.

Beautiful quilt :!:

That's outstanding! I have two nephews and a son that are military. I've been forbidden to make anything with the cammie print. lol lol However, my son didn't send the neck coolers back when I made them out of desert cammie.

You've done beautiful work. I know your son is going to love it!
Happy Quilting,
Sharon

Who would have thought camo would make for such an interesting quilt? You have one lucky son! It is beautiful, but tell him I thought it looked "manly".

Wonderful job, I am sure your son will love it. Kyia
