Working on a flock
 

Michaels had a huge sale on the heavy duty canvas I use for mounting applique both fused and stitched but not quilted. I loaded my car and got to work on the flock!

I really like your roosters and your project looks wonderful. But I am curious about the canvas. How do you use it for applique? Is it just a backing. Is there batting in these projects?

Love your roosters. But I have a question....Michaels sells heavy duty canvas? Michaels stores must be different from state to state....our store doesn't sell fabric.

Those are some handsome roosters but I really love the egg pot holder (I think that is what it is) It is darling.

I do small (no stitching at all) medium and large which are completely stitched down but no quilting.

Nope, have about four or five different roosters then will do the hens.

No, I teach it. Just satin stitching. Usually enlarge the pattern or make it from a photo.

McKenna Ryan for most and Toni Whitney for the other.

I have the appliqued piece stretched onto canvas frames to hang.

Have a few more different roosters to do and a lot of stitching on the two 30 inch ones.
