working--gleefully--on the back to that Triple Irish Chain
3 Attachment(s)
So, I'm joyfully working on the back to that Triple Irish Chain I made (I measured it--90 by 110 eek) and in playing made some Log Cabin blocks. But I think they are too nice to go on the back of a quilt--so now I think I need to make a bunch more so they have a top to call their own. There should be enough fabric for a lap anyway. I've made four tops from this line already--might as well go for five. :-)
It is so much fun just tossing fabric together with no pattern. |
LOVE!!! The LC are fabulous! What a versatile line! Curses that I didn't pick some up when you got it. ;) I adore the back too with the leftover TIC block framed in the blues. It looks like a checkerboard.

I love the one on the lower left--floral from the TIC I made for a friend--looks like it's raining out. You know--I got most of it online. But not sure you could find much now. </whom?> |
It looks like you are having fun with the log cabin blocks. The fabric is bright and cheerful.
Beautiful! Your color choice make those blocks amazing.
Those are lovely blocks.
Very pretty.
very pretty, and I adore your fabric.
your new back for the front will be amazing -- that last picture is the start of something -- WOW!
Lovely fabric! You could still put them on the back and make a reversible quilt that way
Love the bottom picture such an unusual design.
That back is going to be amazing

I love your log cabin block material!
All of your blocks and projects are beautiful... your fabrics are scrumptious and I think anything would look good made up in that fabric collection.
It certainly is beautiful fabric, and your quilts are all wonderful!
looks great
I was thinking same. 2 in 1!

I agree with everyone else, make a double sided quilt. I'm currently working on one and it is so much fun. It also means one less quilt to store when you want something different on your bed (or at least for me as I don't have much storage space)

Looks like you were having soooo much fuń
LOVE!!! that leafy fabric. so bright and pretty
I agree. Your "unplanned" log cabins are going to present a boatload of design possibilities. Such fun.
Beautiful, can't wait to see the finished quilt. Your log cabin blocks are lovely, I might be tempted to let them be their own quilt.
Love the comments. Thanks! I am adding another round to the log cabins... I only have 3/4 yard left of the light. Wondering just how many blocks I can make. Sure wouldn't be able to use it as a border, but I can work out something. :-) After chores--teaching--chores--work out--chores--dinner--dishes--horse tuck in--shower... I run out of time!! I don't trust myself using a rotary blade after 8:30. Sigh.

Looks like a beautiful line. You have been very busy. Good job.
very pretty!!!!

Those beautiful fabrics are certainly beautiful in the Log Cabin block-so fresh and crisp. I think it deserves a spotlight of its own. I like decorative backs but this is too beautiful to be a back.
Wow it pops :)
I agree with you. I think they're much to pretty to use as the back of a quilt. I would make them into a separate quilt. And I love your fabric choices are they random or are they part of a group?
