great quilt. I would have just left it the original way.

Pretty quilt and design. Glad you were able to find and fix the layout.

Taking a picture really shows us when we make a mistake. I now take pictures before I sew on a border...still have rework to do sometimes but not quite as intensive. I have a quilt I dearly love and found my mistake about 2 years after it was quilted. I still love it but wish I had seen it before I took it to be quilted!

I couldn't see where the first photo was wrong. It took me a long time!!
Beautiful quilt.

is the center a panel?

Yes, as stated above this is my third top with this same pane, but all differently pieced. I am so glad I saw the mistake before quilting. I didn't even look at it before sewing the outer blue borders. Thank goodness I always take a photo.

I always agonize about what to do with a panel. It was alright sewn together wrong, no one but you would have noticed. But glad you took the time to correct it. What you have done with this one is beautiful!

Beautiful quilt top. I probably would have left it. Not that noticeable.

A lucky thing for you that you discovered it before you quilted it. It is a very patriotic quilt. I salute you!
