Great looking quilt, and what a wonderful Christmas surprise. Years ago I also surprised my husband with a quilt for Christmas. It was hard keeping the work a secret from him, but it was worth all the work. He uses it every night!!

You did a beautiful job. My DH bought me a quilt book based on Frank Lloyd Wright's stained glass and has been bugging me to make one of the quilts. But oh dear, the book is in black and white and the patterns are oh so difficult. Maybe I should take one of the patterns and make it bright like yours. Thanks for the inspiration.

mcgeeca 06-10-2013 02:49 PM

Is this something you might share with the rest of us?
I am interested in doing circles and not applique. These look large enough that I might actually be able to DO it!
