Wounded Warrior Quilts
3 Attachment(s)
At our recent quilt retreat, our group held jelly roll races!
We made many tops to make lap robes for WW. Instead of using a full 40+ strip jelly roll, we made 21 strip rolls to get the side we needed. (each picture set is front & back of the quilt) We used my new GO! Cutter to make the strips. There were left over scraps from straightening and cutting. I used these "scraps" to make a string quilt. Also pictured is a crumb quilt I've made from various scraps - I could look at it for hours and find different things. I guess it's like an adult "I Spy" quilt! :) Much of the fabric used for the Jelly Roll Races was donated to our quilting group by a dear lady that belongs to my DMIL's quilting group in Indiana. |
