I had so much fun making "Anita's Arrowhead" blocks that I put in a request for Santa for Anita Grossman Soloman's book 'Rotary Cutter Revolution' :) After all the festivities, had a chance to get to some quilting today.
Here is a table runner in one of my favourite colourways (fall!) using Anita's "XCentric" blocks. I had some strip sets already prepared from another project, so used those instead of striped fabric. Anita's blog ... http://makeitsimplerworkshops.blogsp...label/Xcentric The Spinning Strata Star is inspired from all the beautiful ones I saw here on the QB - just used your examples to build my own - likely I didn't find the easiest method, but it did go together pretty well, I'm happy with them :) XCentric Table Runner XCentric closer view Spinning Strata Star - fall Spinning Strata Star earth tones |

I bought this pattern and keep opening it up and puzzling about just how it goes together. Must just have to begin one step at a time? Any hints? Yours is beautiful.

The spinning stars are great, especially the second one.

I just got Anita's book as well. It arrived on Christmas Eve, which was a nice surprise as the email said delivery on the 27th. I have not had a chance to do any sewing from it yet, but love her shortcuts. My husband has already picked out a favorite pattern from the book. He may have to wait though, because I want to try the ArrowHead Block first. Nice job on all your projects! I'm really impressed that you did the StarSpin w/out a pattern! You are much braver than I am - my pattern is in the mail and should be here soon!
