[img]I was told that the Yellow Brick Road pattern was good for fabrics that you want to show off, so I used it for these great fabrics. Then my cousin's daughter asked for a quilt in green, purple and gray. I had to add the gray in the border. It was fun to do the meandering quilting. Now I can use that favorite of F words - FINISHED,or tout fini!

Very pretty. The gold thread in the machine quilting really sets it off :!:

Nice job Judee, isn't that a fun and quick pattern to do!
Thanks, sewjoyce. It is a variegated orange/green thread, actually. It does look gold though, huh? Even better.

Gayle,
Actually, it took me 3 months to finish! Just kept interrupting it with other things, you know. What is the pattern in your avatar? Very pretty. judee |
It's called "Twice as Nice" from Glad Creations. It is a queensize quilt I made for DD#3 when she went away to College. I love it to. I plan to make another one!!
Beautiful. Isn't meandering fun. I love it.
Love your meandering :D Good job, fun pattern.
Very pretty! I like the gray border with it.
Yeah--you got to use the F word!!! Don't you just love the Yellow Brick Road pattern?
You really showed off some beautiful fabric!!

Love it!

Pretty

Looks great - good job! I like that pattern also.
oooooooooooooooo pretty. You did an awesome job. Why does the yellow brick road look so hard to do, yet i hear its easy????????
Bev, it really is easy to do!! I have used that pattern to teach a couple of people how to piece quilts!! Easy and Fast and doesn't require fancy quilting stitches either, you can just quilt along the diagonal cause it is a 9in finished block!!!
A very good job!

Thank you all. YBR was the pattern we used in the Beginning Quilting class I took last year at LQS. I used a bunch of varied but coordinated fat quarters and it is a perfect quilt for Spring/Summer. They still use the pattern in that class because it is easy to cut and piece. Try it,Bev. You will love it!
