The entire quilt is hand embroidery. My ten year old son did the X's for the cross stitch and I did the stem stitch outlines and hearts. The yellow ribbon means "Support Our Troops". We made this quilt because my husband is current on his third tour in Iraq.

That is beautiful. I've been looking for a nice yellow ribbon pattern for a long time, but haven't had any luck (my husband is Canadian Military, not on tour at the moment, but we've been there too). If I was any good at embroidery, I'd totally steal your pattern! ;)

May the Lord bless you and your family and bring your husband and the men he is serving with home safe.
A yellow ribbon is so special, let us not forget that there are men and women serving for our freedom each day. Beautiful job and wonderful reminder. Karen |
