I have one suggestion for you. Although I keep all my material in plastic bins on shelves, I took cheap flannel tablecloths and attached them to the top of the shelves, flannel side out. It protects my fabric from fading and gives me a "design wall."
So......

Fabric won't fade!

It'd have to hold a quick design--not one I needed to leave up awhile, but it'll work for some projects. :D

I'm rather proud of the grommet idea. :wink:

Looks good, and you can always pin your designs on. I found when I tried, that I needed something solid behind the flannel to press against for the blocks to stick properly.
