Here some pics of some of the quilts I"ve made over the years.
This was for my DH aunt who was battling breast cancer with chemo and radiation at the same time. She is now in remission and claims the quilt had a large part in that. Each part of the family (a husband, wife, and kids) received one block to write a personal msg to her. I made this top, but my mother handquilted it. This one was all me. I hated it by the time I got it finished because everything that could go wrong did. So, I gave it to mom. This one I made special for my mom This was my own design (not that it's anything special) and I made it for my FIL who plays guitar. The pic really doesn't do it justice. I don't take good pics. It has the pillows that match Close up |
This will be BIL's wedding gift, if and when he gets married. It's not quilted yet
This was for my son who loves cars This is the last one that was completely finished. It was a wedding gift for a friend. It is also the first quilt I have ever had machine quilted. What can I say? They're all great!
|
  I love them all, but my question is when do you eat and sleep?
|
thanks:)
LOL...I rarely do. Quilting really is therapy for me. I am impossible to live with if I go for too many days without having quilted in the evenings. When the kids go to bed at 8pm I work on quilts off and on till about 2am. I get the kids up at 6:15 for school. They get themselves ready and I go back to sleep. I usually get up around 8am. Although for the past 3 weeks, I have gotten very little sleep. I'm hoping to make up for it in the next couple of days...LOL Lynette |
Beautiful work. I really love the blue and white one.
