I did not understand your excitement over a singer machine until I was given one out of an estate. Showing this to my SIL he said he has one upstairs in his home that belonged to his grandmother that is in cabinet....the last I heard was he would bring by to let me see & use. This one posted has the serial number and would sure like any help you can send of maybe the year, value (can't find anything on internet about it).

Singer has a website that gives info on most of the machines. Click on the link below or, if it doesn't show as blue text, paste this url into your Internet browser:

It says your machine was made in 1928 in Elizabeth, New Jersey.

Looks like a 99 - (baby 66 and 'new' version of the 28)
uses 66 drop in bobbins and regular ole everyday needles...

I found one similar to this at an auction in April and paid $40.00 for it. It was made in 1938 in Podolski, Russia. I need to clean it up and see how it works. I plugged it in and it does sew.
