Very nice. My question is what is a mug rug and why? I make potholders, which are bigger. Doesn't a mug rug get stained from tea or coffee?

I am sure you were warned. But you probably weren't listening and as with most addictions, opted not to listen.

Soo.. Welcome to the club!

I think the pocket is to hold things like a spoon or a tea bag. Maybe individual packets of sweetener. I've seen pictures with these types of things in the pocket. I don't know what size a mug rug is though. I would like to make some.
