Waaaaaay back in January I had you help decide on the border for this baby quilt.

Well here it is the end of March and it is finally finished. I had no idea this quilt took me that long! :lol:

I took all of your suggestions and cosidered them. Thank you for all the ideas! It helps to have other opinions.

This is what happened....hope you like it as much as I do. It is for little baby girl- Kylee -who is due in May.

It ended up being 52"x52". I am pretty new to this and have not learned how to plan out the size. I just let the quilts grow to the size they want.

The mom is not crazy about pink so I used the dark purple stripe on the back (matches the border) I machine quilted it with a varigated purple thread.

I love it! Two of my faves...purple and pinwheels!

I think it is beautiful. Good decision.

That is one big baby quilt!! It's georgous!!! I have the same problem. Unless I am using a pattern from a book my quilts grow, and grow, and grow also. :oops: What starts out as a full may just as well finish up to a queen or even a king! I feel blessed as long as I have enough fabric to finish. :lol:

Also I'm working on a applique quilt for my grandaughter & doing quilting on a kingsize quilt for someone else. Anyway...very pretty baby quilt! :D

Love it - only thing wrong with it is the two hands hanging over the top - hope you can remove them before giving it away! LOL

2 doods, I have a 5 month old minature golden doodle - aren't they wonderful dogs! Love him so much.

-DD will let go pretty easily-she doesn't care much for purple! Thank goodness the boots don't show-she just slipped on her dad's work boots-not to stylin! But she is a good sport to help with the pictures! :D

Riley and yukon would like to see a picture of your boy! They are the best dogs! Best of all they don't make me itch and sneeze! LOL
