Our project linus group had a make a blanket day. We took 6½" squares and sewed them together to make blankets. Some of the ladies brought in some quilts already made. We totaled 30 blankets and tops between 10 people. We chose The Child Advocacy Center in Springfield for our community service project. We collected toilet paper, sippy cups, baby bottles and money for them to use. We also collected money for Ozarks Food Harvest to help stamp out hunger. We had a great time, great food and great company.

Thanks for posting pictures! A worthy project for sure! Are you looking for more quilters to work with your group? I live about 1/2 outside Springfield!

We are always looking for new quilters or people interested in helping. We take anything that is new and unused, knitted, crocheted or quilted. The smallest size is 18" square for the NICU at St. John's, up to twin size. The most used and popular size is 48"-50" square, it works for the majority of kids we try to supply. The Child Advocacy Center is opening a satellite center in West Plains and we will be looking at recruiting people to make blankets to keep that center supplied with blankets. Thanks Chigger.

It's wonderful to see the community service so many members of this board do. Thanks for sharing what your group did.
