Default Projects Finished Tonight

I have been piddling around with these things for a while. Finally, I managed to put the finishing touches on all and I am declaring done.

I have learned some things the primary being I am not a FM quilter. I messed up the "squareness" of the projects which were square before I quilted. Nevertheless, the are finished before I get the tree out and start preparing for Christmas. I have included one picture making it easy to compare the three different configurations. The third project was completed about two weeks ago and here is the comparison using different fabrics, quilting, and even changed the pattern so that the feathers were one fabric which made for easier piecing. Which one do you prefer? I am going to try and make a new one with straight borders and better quilting for our fair next summer.

I like them all, but I think that I like the middle one the best. BrendaK

They are all darling. I like the feathers all one color -- not worth the work of making them pieced in the finished product. However, I LOVE the checkered border! Great job on all three.

Super cute and congrats on finishing them 11 months before next Thanksgiving!! LOL I like them all, but that center one really sings to me with the multi-colored piecing and checkered border.

I know what you mean about the squareness before and not-squareness after quilting. Grrr. CUrrently it's my nemesis on the log cabin I'm trying to bind. MAybe I will have it bound and shipped in time for Christmas, square or not??? !
