I had my DH put up a long traverse curtain rod high on the wall in my sewing room, and then I used an old king size sheet, put the drape pins in the top edge, hung it up, and look what I got!!! A HUGE design wall that I can pull to one side. It covers the door when it's pulled full out. It works great!! We can hang lots of small quilts on it, or one really large one. The rod cost about $40.

Drawn to let the door open.

What a great idea! I love that door too by the way. What a cool looking room. Is the whole house like that?

Hi all!! Thanks for the nice comments on my sewing room. This room is all in 1940 "Hollywood" pine paneling. We lightly white washed it to lighten up the room, but didn't want to cover it completely with paint. My husband is very much a "wood guy", so he values wood too much to paint it. Although if I had my way....... But, not all things can be MY way!! It's actually not a very long wall, and with the door there, it is even shorter. That's why we went with the traverse rod so it moves. I love it!!
