Not only is it nice, but there is lots for a baby to look at. It would be good for "tummy time"!

I absolutely love it! And any pediatrician will tell you that it's important to expose new eyes to bright colours so that the eye cones develop properly. Love it love it love it!!

I read the babies eyes are not great color receivers when they are born and that we all should be giving them much brighter colored objects as they are born and into early childhood. Then tone them down.

It is the parents who seemingly need the soothing colors. lol So if mom and dad are happy they will be having a colorful baby- great as she will be sharpening her eye focus at an earlier age.

Also read that most baby Q's were soft colors because the materials used were the shreds of worn out older Q's so there was no color left in them.

So go for the color I say!!!!

I love your choice of bright colors and the baby will too! i had an opportunity to make a quilt for a baby with heritage from India. I wrestled with "is this okay" but the parents loved it. Here is a picture. I modified it before finished to include white horizontal strips too but don't have a picture.

This is what parents-to-be are attracted to. Pretty much gone are the days of nursery prints and soft pastels for baby quilts. It's a wonderful quilt.
