Default Purple tote tribute bag ...

I finished this 17" x 19" tote bag yesterday and I wanted to share it with you all. This is grape fabric was cut from an unused piece of my late friend Kitty Kerrigan's clothing. It inspired me to make this tote and donate it in her name to the silent auction. I miss her so very much and this is my way of honoring her. She dearly loved purples and purses.

There will be front, inside and detail close up pictures. The back is a straight lilly of the valley fabric with the dark trim on top quilted in the same way. I found the handles at windy moon quilts last week.

I hope you all love this, I sure do after working on it two days straight.

I think the bag is lovely and the sentiment even more so. Sorry you are suffering from this loss, but what a nice way to remember her and honor her.

Thank you all for understanding. She was my next door neighbor and we had many cups of tea and talks about quilting. Yes she was a quilter! How cool was that.??

I think of her everyday in one way or another. She was such a fun and neat lady. I hope that this purse does well in the auction, I was so tempted to keep it. LOL!!
