That is great. Can I have the name of the pattern and who makes it?

Lucy, I love the puzzle pattern and have downloaded your Excel spreadsheet. Your colors are excellent!

Zephyr, I really like how you put the puzzle pieces into the border.

Great quilts, both of you. :)

I love it! I use paint to "cut" the fabric swatch, and then move it into Excel. It gives me more mobility to try different borders/etc than if I just used paint on its own

I tried applique a few times and it didn't work out right. I mean, really, I just needed to stick with it and practice, but it's so much faster to do piecework. Anyway, yeah, I think that is a wonderful idea and I will be brave and applique the piece on. That has to be simpler than my 4 square + 4 triangle + border cuts... thank you for your comments - I will definitely consider applique

Love the quilt! My grandson (mildly autistic btw) absolutely loves puzzles. My daughter and I got some of the autism awareness fabric from Hobby Lobby this afternoon to make him a pillow. Now I'm going to HAVE to make him a puzzle quilt for Christmas!

So with the measurements provided by a few people on the board (thank you!) I redesigned the quilt to look more like a puzzle to me.

It's going to have a border all around it, which will include that blue piece off to the side . So imagine my wood floor is the border to get an idea of it. I'm just waiting to get some $$ to afford the border, since it'll be about 10" around. I might do different size border strips, but that's a 'for when I have $' concern.
That is a very neat quilt. thank you for sharing. Penny
