Default Quatrefoil Quilt Finished!

I made this Quatrefoil quilt for my Mother-in-law for Christmas using the Sophie line of fabric by Mary Kuval. It's about 5' x 6'. I started out not loving the fabric because I picked it as something that I think my MIL would like and it's not my personal style, but I love the result. I quilted it myself with diagonal lines through the 2.5" squares and center blocks, stippling on the cream, some outlining in the blocks 1/4" in from the seam line, and I tried my first FMQ other than stippling or loops on a finished product. I did a vine with leaves in the border. It came out OK, but since I used red thread to match and the border was busy it was a safe place to stretch my FMQ skills on something other than a practice square. I also used the flange binding technique from a Missouri Star tutorial. I love the result and being able to machine bind the whole thing!

That is very pretty and a really nice job. You have one lucky mother in law.

The colors and the quilt are very pretty. I loved the tutorial by Jenny on the MSQC and hope to use the pattern sometime.
