Default Question and FYI triangles

I was on youtube last night looking at stars, and came across this quilt in the background. The star I can make, but it's the sashing/block I was looking at. Has anyone seen it?

Also, the triangle picture is showing them cut at different degrees. Thought you might want to see them together.

I think you can find the borders in the siminole quilts books. I think that some of them are paper pieced patterns.

Depending upon how you look at that picture, there's either sashing or alternate blocks.
The picture was taken at an angle and so it looks like the quilt is on point, but if you check out the moulding, and line up the blocks from there, it's just blocks with no sashing.

This is how I see it (with alternate blocks)

And this how I "think" you were seeing it, with sashing
:
And those alternate blocks look (to me) like they're made up of 4 blocks,
-each with a LG in the corner,
-wide beige outer logs,
-and two opposing corners (adjacent to the LC corner) are snowballed (that's the method I'd use) with 2 or 3 fabrics.

The four blocks are then joined to create the larger alternate block.
I'd draft it for you but I don't have time now.
Maybe later.

Nicely done.

I'm pretty sure the pattern is Eldon by Edyta Sitar. I bought it quite awhile ago but it is at a friends house so I can't look at the pattern. If I remember right there is a template you use. Hope this helps.

And so it is - this picture is much clearer and I can see now that those are log cabins in the corners as well (the photo in the op looked like stripes).

The pattern talks about hexagons (I see octagons but no hexagons)- she used a really good background fabric so it's hard to see the seam lines.
But I'm going to try to break it out....

You can see the block formation here

Octagons with square fillers (which are made up of four small Log Cabin blocks joined together).

You are amazing, finding the pattern and figuring it out. Personally, I would never even attempt this pattern with all the set in seams. You go girl!
