Pattern out of one of my Quilt Mags...Very easy...I do easy....
Layer your sandwich...backing, batting, top fabric. Then pin each strip at the top vertical, space evenly depending on the width of your fabric...I think I used 2 inches...
Then weave horizontally and start pinning the whole thing.
I pinned at each intersection....Then sew down close to each edge of the jelly roll vertical and horizontal.
All in one step...SEW SIMPLE....
Which Quilt Mag did you get it out of if you don't mind me asking? Looks very easy and quick.
I'm thinking it was Quick Quilts abt a yr ago.

I like it! You've got some very nice fabrics there. Someday I'm going to break down and buy a jelly roll to play with.

2 questions: Did you start with a yellow fabric underneath the strips? It sounds like it's a quilt as you go sort of thing. Is it really that easy?

Oops, read the directions too fast.....see top fabric right there where it makes sense. Guess I answered my own silly questions.

Love the quilt!

See above...I did post how you do it...Make sandwich, do basket weaving, pin and stitch all at once...And yes, it really is that easy and quick...You can do it all in one day...not counting the binding...2 days

So I hope this doesn't sound like a dumb question, as I'm not real familiar with jelly rolls, but the edges are raw or pinked, right? Do they fray when washed and that is the look you are going for? This quilt is sooo cute.
