    A quickie Air Force quilt

My neighbor, and good friend, asked for me to make a quilt for her BIL, who was having a retirement dinner this weekend. Only she asked me to get it done in two days, whew! She also wanted photos covering all of his 20 years in the service and a few blank blocks for family to sign. Needless to say I lived at the sewing table, and this is what I came up with on short notice. Thanks for looking.Name: DSCF0014.JPG

If that's what you can do in two days, I'd love to see what you could do with a whole week... LOL! That's a fabulous quilt & you're a doll to make it for your friend. Thanks for sharing with us!

As the proud aunt of an Air Force pilot, I think it is beautiful and would even if I wasn't an aunt. I can't imagine a timeframe like that. It would take me longer than that to THINK about how to do it. I like photograph quilts and this one is so neat. I hope she appreciates your friendship and dedication. That is amazing!

What a beautiful quilt. It would have taken me two days to just come up with a pattern, then a week to put it together and another week to quilt it, two days to bind it. You did a good job on such short notice.

Bravo, standing ovation! That is a wonderful quilt for his retirement after years of service. You must really love your neighbor/friend to take on such a task. It truly is remarkable you made something remarkable within two days!
