O.K., here was the first quilt I made. It's a baby quilt for my daughter's close friend who just had a baby boy. I had all kinds of trouble with it. Besides some of the squares not lined up, I decided to hand quilt it (just about a quarter inch from all the straight lines). In doing so, I felt a little nub between the batting and the top. Oh, oh, I didn't catch a pin and it was still inside. I kept working with it until I got it out. It left a little hole in the top. I used liquid stitch on it, which covered most of it up (should have appliqued something over it but I didn't think of it). Then, when I put the binding on and completed sewing all the way around, I discovered I had started on the back side, so I ripped it all out and did it over on the right side. There must have been something else that happened but I can't think of it now.

Well this was quite a challenge for a first quilt! I say you did a fine job. And the little baby boy will never notice those mistakes you are fretting over! I think it's a lovely quilt.

Kudos on sticking with it. Here's hoping your next project goes much smoother. The end result is what matters and it's a beautiful quilt, sure to be cherished for years.
