I think I misunderstood. I thought your Mom made them.

You have quite a treasure of blocks and to be hand sewn is wonderful. These blocks are a great thing to have and maybe you can get some history on them from a family member. It would be nice to put that information on a label.

What a treasure!Even though it is possible your mom did not make all these blocks they were/are hers and you know her history, maybe not a quilting history but you can make it the history of your mom. This can/will become a family heirloom when you finish it. Share the history with your kids/grand kids and great grand children as they come along. Let it be passed from one generation to the next. Write out the history and store it safely.

If you can join a Quilt Guild, you will be surrounded with help, happily offered. If you can't find one using Google, call your closest quilt shop.

I look forward to seeing what you come up with! Be sure to put a quilt label on the back so that the history will not get lost.
