Hello. I just finished this quilt a couple weeks ago. A friend of mine's grandma past away this year and she wanted a quilt from her shirts that she wore all the time. Also was a sweatshirt that was about grandchildren and she wanted it to be in the quilt as a hole piece. I must say, I was nervous about messing up the fabric and not having enough. This is a very important quilt and wanted it to be just right. Well I work pretty much 60 hrs/ 6 nights per week from may to november so it took me 2 months from start to finish. I delivered the quilt in time for her to have for Christmas. Her mother and grandfather were brought to tears. I spent a good chunk of change for the backing, border, and binding. I did not accept paymet since she was a friend. It truly is my honor to be able to do this for her.
Hope you enjoy it.

Hi,

Awesome idea for a quilt! I still have my grandma's robe not sure what to make with it. I may make it into a pillow, pincushion etc.

I have her old treadle sewing machine in a cabinet but never have used it. I will need to see if it still runs as she used it all the time.
