Default Quilt for a High School Graduate

My bosses wife sent me two panels - one Super Man and the other Army. Each had 4 picture squares, and she wanted to make a quilt to put in her nephews dash board to protect the car. I told her you did not put quilts on the dash board, the sun would rot them, and fade them out. She wanted to know what I would do with the panels. Hummmm Super Man and Army. How did one go about this. I ended up making a two sided quilt. I was thrilled with the outcome, and I think the recipient was too. He leaves for the Army in August - he chose the intelligence field, and I could not be happier for him. Take a look.

Great quilts! A quilt for the dashboard? Yikes, that what those fold out foil screens from the $ store are for. I' m glad you rescued the panels before they met such a sad end.
