This quilt is beautiful. Love the colors and the little chicks.

Most people find it kind of funny being that is my husbands first wife. Although she is not an X. She died several years ago from cancer. Their youngest son was 6 month old. He was around 10 when he and his brothers became mine. They went thru a horrid step mom and had a hard time adjusting to me at first. The oldest was beginning 8th grade and hated me. He went to visit his mothers family that first christmas and his mothers mom told him "She is your mom now and you need to treat her like it". Anyway, he got his mothers mom's permission to love me and they have all been mine since. The family is great and has welcomed me and my kids (I have 4 and now 7) with open arms.

I won't tell you about my eX...

Thanks for all the encouragement

I´ve been there too with a kid that just hated me, spoiled rotten she was, thankfully her Dad and I broke up before we got to the marriage stage.

Good luck :D Elle

That is amazing. From the incredible design to the colors and the pictures--wow. Thanks for sharing. Did you follow a pattern--or make it up yourself? What a lucky baby. :D

Thank you! Whenever I make a block for something (like the block challenge I am in) I usually make another block out of some fabric scraps that go together that I have for a future baby quilt. It is just as easy making 2 blocks as it is making 1. Anyway, this way I have alot of my work done.
